Our Statement of Faith
At Freedom Daughters, we are committed to living out and sharing the transformative power of the Gospel. Our mission is rooted in our faith in Jesus Christ, and we believe in the following core truths:
-
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith, teaching us God’s truth and guiding us in how we live and grow spiritually. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) -
The Trinity
We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14) -
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose again on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe He will return again in glory. (John 1:1-14, Philippians 2:5-11, Acts 1:9-11) -
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, offered through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is by grace we are saved, not by works. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are forgiven, redeemed, and made new. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10) -
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, empowering us to live a godly life and equipping us with spiritual gifts to fulfill God’s purpose. The Holy Spirit guides, comforts, convicts, and empowers believers for service and spiritual growth. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and that the evidence of this is speaking in tongues, which is available to all believers. (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11) -
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. Through prayer, we communicate with God, seek His will, and receive strength and guidance. Prayer is essential to the life of every believer, both individually and corporately. It is through prayer that we draw near to God and align ourselves with His purpose. (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 5:16) -
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of believers who are called to worship, serve, and spread the Gospel. The Church exists to glorify God, build community, and fulfill the Great Commission. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Matthew 28:19-20) -
Humanity
We believe that every person is created in the image of God, with inherent value, dignity, and purpose. We are called to love and serve one another as Christ loves us. (Genesis 1:27, Matthew 22:37-39) -
Eternal Life
We believe in eternal life for believers through faith in Jesus Christ. Those who trust in Christ will spend eternity with Him, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. (John 3:16, Revelation 20:11-15) -
The Great Commission
We believe we are called to make disciples of all nations, sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ with the world. Our purpose is to help others know God, grow in faith, and walk in freedom and purpose. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
