This joyful event is more than just a celebration – it was a lifeline for families in our community. Annually we partner with local organizations, Upward Springs & The Kingdom Centre, to equipping children and families with the resources they need to start the school year strong. What began as a local community initiative has now grown into a movement of generosity, joy, and hope.

Left Behind: Our Impact So Far
In just two years, Kids Fest has served over 280 children in Durham Region and beyond.
Through the support of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners, we have:

Raised over $20,000 in in-kind donations and support

Provided backpacks filled with school supplies so no child enters school empty-handed

Offered over 60 free haircuts and braiding to help kids feel confident on their first day

Supplied clothing, books, grocery gift cards, and essentials for families

Created a safe space full of fun, food, and activities for kids to simply be kids
More Than Just a Festival
Kids Fest isn’t just about the giveaways—it’s about restoring dignity, strengthening families, and building community. It’s about parents leaving with lighter burdens and children walking away with big smiles and bigger dreams.
Every backpack packed, every haircut given, and every meal served has been made possible by the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations who believe in pouring back into the community. Together, we’ve turned compassion into action.
