Kids Fest: A Day of Joy & Support
This joyful event is more than just a celebration – it was a lifeline for families in our community. Annually we partner with local organizations, Upward Springs & The Kingdom Centre, to provide a day of fun and community service. In our 2024 Kids Fest, through generous donations and sponsors we provided over 100 backpacks with school supplies to children who needed them most.
The event was packed with free food and activities like face painting, bouncy castles, reading corners, play & coloring stations, and much more that brought smiles to children’s faces and a sense of relief to their parents. Beyond just fun, we also offered free haircuts and hair braiding for children, making sure they were ready to step into the new school year looking and feeling their best.
To further serve families, we partnered with Dignity Exchange and provided free clothing to those in need, offering parents a chance to pick out essentials for their children and ease the burden of back-to-school shopping. It was an incredible opportunity to come together as a community, helping each other and making sure that no family felt left behind.

We were honored to have government officials, including our local Member of Parliament (MP) Jamil Jivani, attend the event and show their support for our cause. Their presence was a powerful reminder that we are all working together to make a difference.
Kids Fest 2024 was more than just a day of fun; it was a day of connection, support, and hope. Events like these are central to the work we do at Freedom Daughters.
